DIY - Table runner

This colorful table runner welcomes guests to the perfect meal. Using lovely jacquard and trimmed with pom-poms, make this dining accessory using scrap yardage and trims.

Draft the table runner template, measurements in cm.

Cut out 1x from outer fabric.

Fold 4 cm (1 5/8 in) seam allowance and press. Next, fold the corners inward, draw a line at 2 cm (3/4 in) and trim.

Fold the seam allowance inward 2x 2 cm (3/4 in) (to the wrong side) and pin. Press the corners precisely and pin them as well.

Now sew the 4 corners together by hand.

Next, topstitch the seam allowance topstitch all around, close to the edge.

Cut 2x piping strip and 2x tassel trim to a length of approx. 42 cm (16 1/2 in), pin to the two narrow ends of the runner and stitch (you may have to sew the sides by hand).

And finally, sew the 4 tassels to the corners by hand.
