At Burda Style, we are committed to making our websites and content accessible to as many people as possible, in line with the European Accessibility Act, which came into force on 28 June 2025. We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy our creative world without barriers, regardless of their individual abilities.

Our websites and digital services are designed to comply with the requirements of the following standards:

• EN 301 549  (European standard for the accessibility of ICT products and services)
• WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)

This includes, among other things:

•   Keyboard navigation (currently under review for certain specific features)
• Sufficient colour contrast for readability
• Alternative text for images
• A clear hierarchy of headings and content
• Accessible and understandable forms

Our Burda Style websites offer a wide range of accessible services and content:

• Navigation through product categories such as patterns, magazines, subscriptions, accessories, videos, blog, etc.
• Browsing and purchasing of digital or physical products, with displays adapted to various devices (desktop, tablet, mobile).
• An account area that is accessible for managing personal data, subscriptions or orders.
• Contact and search forms designed to be usable by all users.

We regularly carry out:

• technical audits of our websites in collaboration with our development agency,
• manual tests using accessibility tools (screen readers, keyboard navigation),
• updates to our content and templates to improve the user experience.
