DIY - Make your star advent calendar
Small gifts are so well hidden in this beautiful, festive Advent calendar that it will be impossible to tell in advance what the stars hold in store!
MATERIALS
- Gift wrap in different colors & designs
- Card stock
- Golden tinsel as filling
- Number stamp set
- Delicata metallic stamp pad
- Motif puncher round with deco border
- Golden clips
- Metallic yarn
- Clips
- Pencil
- Paper scissors
- Download the Star template in PDF format
STEP 1
Copy the star template in the sizes of your choice. Place two pieces of gift wrap wrong sides together and use a pencil to trace the template.
STEP 2
Next, cut out the star with a 1 cm (3/8 in) seam allowance on all sides (cut through both layers of paper).
STEP 3
Fill the star with tinel and a small gift, then fasten the corners with clips. Now stitch 2 mm (1/8 in) inside the pencil line.
STEP 4
Trim the seam allowances around the pencil line. Repeat the steps to make 24 stars in different sizes.
STEP 5
Using the motif puncher, punch out 24 number cards from the card stock.
STEP 6
Stamp the punched-out cards with numbers 1 - 24 and allow to dry.
STEP 7
Finally, use the golden clips to fasten one number card to each star.
