Burda x Craftours Italy Trip 2018


As you may have seen on our Instagram, Ellen March from Sew News & CME magazine and I are in Italy on our Fashion Tour of Italy with Craftours! I’m writing here from my hotel in Rome on the last day of the tour, although I’m sad for it to be coming to a close, I gained so much sewing inspiration while I was here and even picked up fabric for a very special project. August Round Up & September Plans!


The summer is coming to a close, as well as summer sewing! I always find people either get a lot of sewing done in the summer or take a little sewing break. Me personally, I do a ton of sewing in the fall and winter and don’t find myself sewing as much in the summer – but I in August I managed to whip up a fall pattern and quick maxi skirt that was perfect for cottaging. As soon as I finished up sewing and wearing my August issue Mash Up – my first fall pattern – there is a heat wave throughout the city! I really do love how this garment turned out, and here I paired it over a simple black T-shirt and nude booties for the canvas jumper’s summer look!
