+ Corduroy exterior + Cotton lining + Scissors + Bar clasp + Adjustable buckles + Bias tape & webbing strap + Marking pen + Fusible interfacing + Template for the flap
Step 1: Cut flap from exterior and lining fabric. Pin wrong sides together and stitch around the curve close to the edge. Enclose and finish the sewing allowance around the curve with bias tape. Step 2: Cut front pieces (69 x 27 cm/ 27 x 10.5 in.) of exterior and lining. Pin webbing straps (2 x 52 cm (20.5 in.) and handle (20 cm / 8 in.) along the upper edge along right side of exterior.
Step 3: Pin flap and lining pieces as shown along the upper edge of the exterior fabric and sew together with 1 cm (3/8 in.) seam allowance. Step 4: Cut side pieces (31 x 10.5 cm / 12.25 x 4 in. ) from exterior and lining. Press to adhere interfacing to the exterior pieces, sew both side pieces together along one narrow end right sides together, press seams open, turn right sides out.
Step 5: Pin exterior piece to side pieces, wrong sides facing and sew a presser foot's width to secure the seam. Step 6: Finish the seam allowances at the edges of both sides with the bias tape.
Step 7: Follow the package instructions to attach the clasp for the flap Step 8: Pin the attachment straps of the webbing band (2 x 15 cm (6 in.)) on the bottom of the rucksack with the buckle in place and stitch.

Step 1: Cut the pattern pieces in the chosen color template with 1 cm (3/8 in.) seam allowances. For the pencil tip, press fusible web to adhere the colored point to the tip, as shown. Step 2: Sew the zipper to the long sides of the rectangle. Pin the straight edges of the pencil tip piece and stitch along the 1 cm (3/8 in.) allowance and turn with right sides out.
Step 3: Pin the right sides of the tip along a side of the rectangle with right sides matching. Stitch along the 1 cm (3/8 in.) seam allowance. Step 4: Pin the circle piece with right sides facing, to the other end of the rectangle and stitch along the 1 cm (3/8 in.) seam allowance.
