DIY - Wreaths
This cheery wreath for doors etc. made from colorful pompoms welcomes visitors in the happiest (and most creative!) way. Wreaths don't always have to be just for the holiday season - flex your crafting skills anytime of the year...
Materials
- Metal ring gold 30 cm
- Creative Bubble yarn
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
- Pom pom maker (Prym)
STEP 1
Wrap the Creative Bubble yarn evenly around both sides of the pompom maker. Important: Do not cover the joint or the lock.
STEP 2
Secure the yarn ends, close the pompom maker and carefully cut open the yarn between the discs on both sides.
STEP 3
Wrap yarn around the open gap and knot it. Now trim all sides of the pompom evenly, as you like
STEP 4
Tie the pompom with a knot and cut off the ends of the yarn. Repeat the procedure (steps 1- 4) in different sizes and colours until the metal ring is completely covered.
STEP 5
Now fix the pompoms in place using hot glue in the gaps in the back.
Finished
Just looking at this colorful wreath brings cheer! Choose yarn colors that match your decor and have fun with it.
Add a Pom Pom
While you have your pom pom maker out, and if you have any leftover yarn why not add some pom poms to a hat like this, or this adorable little girl's purse. This project you can easily get the little ones involved in.
