Burda Style celebrates its 75th anniversary with an exceptional issue packed with new products!

To celebrate this special anniversary, the magazine will present a revisited iconic model from our archives every month of 2025.

This issue opens with a ravishing floral dress inspired by a 1957 model, accompanied by the fascinating story of the 'Haute Couture' decade of the '50s. Then, we prepare you for spring with a sweet collection of cuts inspired by Western and Seventies dress codes, including Curvy cuts in sizes 46-56 and a model up to size 60.

In fact, from this issue onwards, your magazine will once again include models specially designed for all shapes and sizes. The 90s are also in the spotlight, with minimalist cuts and modern fabrics, perfect for elegant urban looks. There's also a collection designed for active urban women, and three DIY accessories specially designed for your bike. Finally, Valentine's Day is just around the corner! Let yourself be seduced by a glamorous, bold red collection, a tribute to love and passion.

February's Vintage Model: A 1950's Dress

The 50s marked the beginning of Burda Style (known as Burda Moden at the time) and an emblematic decade for fashion, particularly haute couture. After the restrictions of the Second World War, fashion underwent a brilliant revival, making chic and elegant accessible once again. Christian Dior, Coco Chanel, and Cristóbal Balenciaga were key figures, with Paris at the epicenter of this stylistic revolution.

This dress will sublimate your shape and curves! Inspired by a landmark 1957 cut, it is fitted at the waist. The skirt is flared and volume is further created through pleats, with discreetly integrated pockets. The floral print, already popular at the time, accentuates the dress's elegant note. Finally, a lovely belt accentuates the waist.

Soft Colors

Spring is slowly taking shape, and with it comes soft pastel colors and a cowboy spirit!

This season, blouses are replacing blazers! We love the textured jersey blouse that adds sparkle to model 112. Small straps and open slits at the cuffs add a touch of refinement.

Pointed yokes are embroidered with flowers on blouse 124. We like to wear it open in a composed style, over a thin top or sweater, or closed and tucked into raw denim, recalling the Far West universe in vogue this spring.

Trend: The 90s

Clean lines, understated aesthetics, and avant-garde cuts are attributes of this 90s trend.

The 111 top, buttoned to the hips and with split sleeves, embodies the style of the 90s. This piece lends itself to all styles: elegant with dress pants or seductive over a lingerie dress.

In duo, the 116 Bermuda shorts and 119 cropped jacket form a daring retro look! The classic style is deliberately accentuated by strict lines and formal details such as buttons, a collar on the jacket, and marked pleats on the Bermuda shorts. Easy to find: the pieces for the Bermuda 116 are in pink on the pattern board!

Let's Go!

Sporty cuts, functional fabrics, and bright colors set the tone for this collection inspired by the active, city-dwelling woman!

Color-blocking is reinvented in a sporty spirit: the sleeves of the 120 jacket are made of nylon in harmonious colors that add a dynamic touch. The elasticated hem reinforces the casual look.

The new cargo jacket can even be worn to the office! The 115 high-waisted pants with XL cargo pockets are a trendy urban cut. An ultra-trendy touch: belt loops adorned with D-rings to accommodate a double fabric belt.

To accompany the 'Let's Go!' urban collection, we've added three sewing accessories for bicycles that are as practical as they are attractive: a pannier to attach to the handlebars with straps, which can also be worn as a bag, a water bottle cover to take with you wherever you go, and a saddle cover to protect you from the elements!

The 131 top with thin straps is a basic that you can combine with any pattern you like! In silk or viscose, it will always be unanimously elegant.

Masterpiece: the 132 jacket is cut in one piece and features an inlaid collar, adding a touch of refined elegance. Choose a suit fabric such as absorbent cotton for a ravishing fall.
