  • - Fabric with dot print 
  • - Solid-colored fabric 
  • - Vliesofix (Vilene) 
  • - Thread 
  • - Patchwork ruler 
  • - Straight pins 
  • - Chalk 
  • - Hand sewing needles 
  • - Scissors 
  • - Tape measure 
  • - Seam gauge

Cut out the Vliesofix (30 x 45 cm (11 7/8 x 15 3/4 in)) and iron onto the solid fabric. Trim the fabric (to 30 x 45 cm (11 7/8 x 15 3/4 in)) and pull off the paper.

Now iron onto print fabric, leaving an allowance of 3 cm all around (1 1/4 in) (total 36 x 51 cm (14 1/4 x 20 1/8 in).

Press the 3 cm (1 1/4 in) allowance under, fold open again, and press all 4 corners at a right angle.

Cut off all 4 corners parallel to the folded/pressed edge and press to the inside

Fold under and press all 4 sides 2 x 1.5 cm (5/8 in). Pin.

Now close all 4 folded corners by hand.

Now topstitch all sides close to the edge.

Cut strips of silk fabric (approx. 5 cm (2 in)) wide and fold in half or thirds (depending on fabric thickness).

Cut template (linked in the materials section) to the desired length, pin to fabric strip and carefully cut out.

Now use the hot glue gun to add the flower stamen.
