DIAGRAM

Draft the apron pieces according to the above measurements (in cm).
STEP 1

Apron: 1x each of laminated fabric and poplin print (= lining)
Patch pocket: 1x of laminated fabric
STEP 2

Stitch the pocket piece right sides to-gether along the long edge at a width of 1 cm (3/8 in) and turn right side out. Topstitch the gros-grain (on the seam side) close to the edge.
STEP 3

Place the aprons cut from laminated fabric and poplin (lining) rights sides together, stitch along a horizontal edge (bottom) at a wide of 1 cm (3/8 in). Catch the pocket piece from step 2 in the stitching.
STEP 4

Cut 2 x ties out of the poplin 3.2 cm x 68 cm (1 1/4 in x 26 7/8 in). Fold in and press the seam allowances to centre on both sides (width of grosgrain). Fold grosgrain under on each side and stitch to poplin tie (wrong sides together).
STEP 5

Pin the pocket piece and ties to the apron (on the laminated fabric). Fold open the pop-lin and stitch all around (leave an opening of ap-prox. 12 cm (4 3/4 in) for turning right side out).
STEP 6

Trim the corners and turn the apron right side out through the opening. Stitch all around close to the edge, closing the opening as well
STEP 7

Now stitch the compartments of the pockets to the desired width (here, 3 compart-ments starting at the centre at the same width).
