MATERIALS: + Felt + Threads + Sequins + Sequin trim + Chalk pencil + Scissors + Thimble + Needle + Bead marker pen + Pattern
Step 1
With the chalk pencil, transfer the flower pattern to the felt.
Step 2
With closely spaced zigzag stitch and threads in the colours of the sequins, stitch along the drawn lines.
Step 3
Hand sew the sequin trim to the flower petal.
Step 4
Hand sew individual sequins in place, beginning at the lower edge and overlapping them like shingles.
Step 5
On the stem, stagger the individual sequins slightly. Always knot thread ends securely.
Step 6
After all areas have been filled with sequins, carefully cut out the flower, along the zigzag stitching.
Step 7
Draw the pistils with the bead marker pen and let dry. The eye ("download template here":) is made in the same manner.

We attached our appliqués with double-sided adhesive tape. If you prefer, they can also be sewn on or ironed on, with the help of fusible web.
