Creation

STEP 1
Press each banner fabric piece (apx. 40 x 20 cm/15.75 x 8 in), wrong sides facing in the middle (to 20 x 20 cm/8 x 8 in).

STEP 2
Place the pattern piece on the folded edge (without the drawn allowances of the upper edge), pin and cut.

STEP 3
Pin the cut out banner piece onto another fabric piece (not on a fold) with right sides facing, pin the template in place and cut (this time with the seam allowance for the upper edge).

STEP 4
For the back piece of the banner, cut one of the large triangle pieces (with the seam allowance on the upper edge), pin this right sides facing onto the banner front.

STEP 5
Stitch each of the side edges together 1 cm (3/8 in) from the edge.

STEP 6
Carefully cut back the lower tip, turn the banner piece to right sides facing out and use the edge shaper in the tips for perfect points.

STEP 7
Fold and press the bias tape in half and pin the individual banner pieces in the preferred distance of placement along the bias tape. Stitch close to the edge.

STEP 8
Spray the paper calendar numbers with Do It Spray, let them dry fully and attach them along the banner pieces with the wooden clothes pins.
It's finished!

It is still not quite Christmas! This stylish fabric banner tucked with little surprises helps build the anticipation. 21, 22, 23 … Merry Christmas!
