GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

PREAMBLE

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) govern the sale of magazines, sewing patterns, and other products offered on www.burdastyle.com, whether physical, digital, or by subscription. The website is published by EDITIONS DIPA BURDA, a public limited company with a share capital of 103,665 euros, headquartered at 26 avenue de l’Europe, 67300 Schiltigheim, FRANCE, registered with the Strasbourg Trade Registry under number TI 678 501 511. We recommend carefully reading these GTC before placing any order. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us using the methods provided in Article 8.

 

PURPOSE

These GTC apply to the purchase of downloadable products, physical products, and magazine subscriptions. Any order placed on the website implies full and unconditional acceptance of the GTC in effect at the time of ordering.

 

CLIENT

“Client” means any individual of legal age, having the legal capacity to enter into a contract, and placing an order on the website.

 

ORDER

An “Order” is defined as the purchase of product(s) or service(s) by a Client on the website. Placing an order implies acceptance of these GTC.

 

ARTICLE 1 – PRICE

1.1 Prices are indicated in US dollars, including processing and shipping fees for subscriptions within the United States.

1.2 All orders must be paid in US dollars.

1.3 EDITIONS DIPA BURDA reserves the right to modify prices at any time. Products are billed at the rates in effect when the order is placed, subject to availability.

1.4 Discounts and promotional codes cannot be combined. Promotional codes are valid only for a limited time.

 

ARTICLE 2 – ORDER

Products in stock are available for order on the website. Downloadable products, once purchased, are immediately accessible for download.

 

ARTICLE 3 – VALIDATION

To confirm the order, the Client must accept these GTC by checking the relevant box at the time of finalizing the purchase. All data recorded on the website serves as proof of the transactions carried out. EDITIONS DIPA BURDA will confirm acceptance of the order via email.

 

ARTICLE 4 – AVAILABILITY

Offers are valid while stocks last. In the event of unavailability after the order has been placed, the Client will be notified by email and may choose to cancel or exchange their order.

 

ARTICLE 5 – DELIVERY

Products are delivered to the address provided by the Client.

  • Subscriptions: The first issue is shipped within 2 to 4 weeks for monthly magazines (max. 8 weeks).
  • Magazines: Magazines are delivered within 15 business days in the United States. Standard shipping is provided via First Class service by the United States Postal Service (USPS). A flat shipping fee of $5.50 applies.
  • Downloadable Products: Downloadable products are available in the Client’s personal account immediately after payment is confirmed.

 

ARTICLE 6 – PAYMENT SECURITY

Credit card and PayPal payments are secured using SSL protocol. Additional information on data security can be found in our Privacy Policy.

 

ARTICLE 7 – RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL AND REFUNDS

7.1 Subscriptions: A withdrawal period of 15 days from receipt of the first issue.

7.2 Physical Products: A withdrawal period of 15 days from receipt of the product.

7.3 Downloadable Products: A withdrawal period of 15 days, only if the files have not been downloaded.

To exercise this right, the Client may contact us via the contact form, by email, or by phone. The refund will be processed within 30 days of receiving the withdrawal request.

 

ARTICLE 8 – CUSTOMER SERVICE

ARTICLE 9 – INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on burdastyle.com is protected by copyright. Any total or partial reproduction is strictly prohibited without prior authorization from EDITIONS DIPA BURDA.

 

ARTICLE 10 – LIABILITY

EDITIONS DIPA BURDA cannot be held responsible for non-compliance with the laws of the country where products are delivered. Product descriptions are non-contractual, and the company is not liable for any errors.

EDITIONS DIPA BURDA is not liable for indirect losses, force majeure events, or events beyond its control.

 

ARTICLE 11 – PROMO CODES AND DISCOUNT CODES

Promo codes must be used for a single order and cannot be redeemed for their monetary value.

 

ARTICLE 12 – PERSONAL DATA AND PERSONAL INFORMATION

EDITIONS DIPA BURDA collects and processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Clients may exercise their rights to consult, modify, delete, and object to their data by contacting our Data Protection Officer (DPO) at [email protected].

 

ARTICLE 13 – SHIPPING COSTS

Shipping costs are applied based on weight. A flat shipping fee of $5.50 is applied for magazine deliveries within the United States.

 

ARTICLE 14 – APPLICABLE LAW – DISPUTES

These GTC are governed by French law. In case of dispute, the Client may refer to the E-commerce Mediator, a member of the FEVAD, or use the European platform for online dispute resolution.
