Perfect! Thanks for posting, this was exactly what I was looking for. Now I can add in seam pockets to my jacket since the original pattern doesn’t have them. You can never have too many pockets if you ask me. :D

Thanks for this information. It is just what I am looking for to put side seam pockets in a skirt I already have. I’ll report back later to let you know how successful I was. KL

When I do set in pockets I add the 5/8 in but stitch at 3/8 because when you stitch the seam at 5/8 the ¼ variance folds in and give smother more concealed look to the pocket. Am I jumping the gun, on the follow up how to?
