Once I found out how to make these yoyo/ Suffolk puff things I had a fantastic idea to put them on a cushion. Then on my daily perusing through blogs I noticed someone else had done one too. But that’s ok because how can you escape copying someone else when these little yoyos have been around for many years? It was inevitable.
I was a bit lazy and machine sewed the yoyo’s onto the cushion instead on hand sewing them but I think they still turned out ok.
I used fabric that I picked up from the arts and crafts show. unfortunately I forget the names of the sellers but the organic cotton looking ones came from some girls who hand print them and the softer looking ones came from a wholesaler in Melbourne who came to Sydney for the show and they sell lots of fabric from all over the world with gorgeous patterns on them. I used raw plain weave cotton for the cushion as it goes well with the other earthy colours
