I made this about a year ago and hared the pattern then, but with the new burdstyle site it has been deleted. I looked for it for a long time and have only found it now. So it is here again.
Basically it’s a wrap shirt, that can be worn in a variety of ways. I made it in a feeble attempt to copy DKNY’s “Cozy”.

I miss a good description on how to sew this shirt. I can not figure out how to put it all together.

I had a few problems with it. My test square printed out at 3.5" so I knew I had to enlarge the pieces, I’m also quite tall and wanted to lengthen them as well. The back pieces and sleeves I managed to do a decent job on, but the front wrap pieces were more difficult. There seemed to be curves and edges that were not necessary and it would lay better if I trim them out, which I may do. It also wasn’t long enough to tie, so I added some contrasting fabric to make the ties. It could be that I messed up on the enlarging of such an oddly shaped piece. I still love my shirt and wore it out for a night on the town! But would look for another wrap shirt pattern for the front pieces.

How did you hem the edges for the neckline? Did you use a twin needle with a simple folder hem or something else?

Hi, was it just me or is there a page missing from the pattern? I’m very much a novice and dont feel comfortable guessing. Did anyone else find the same problem?

I noticed the same thing – I think the missing page just had a line connecting the the line on the pages above and below – pretty much straight across. Hope that helps!

I did this top and I was really disappointed with it, it was my size. The pattern was made from the top itself, i.e she just cut the top to adjust the wrapping and tie at the back and then just made the pattern out of it. It looks really nice on the picture, just wished the pattern had been drafted better. Thanks for sharing though.

I’m very sorry it didn’t work for you. Maybe you could try to adjust it to your figure, but I can only tell you that it when I wrap it, the side seams go a bit to the front, and I figure it’s okay, because it looks similar on the cozy. I hope you can fix your problems.

Your top is beautiful! What does it look like untied? Do the fronts hang low like the DKNY cozy?

If you look here (http://sommerkind-diyingermany.blogspot.com/2009/11/pattern-is-online-again-schnittmuster.html) you’ll see, that the front reaches to the knee. Unfortunatley I didn’t consider that I would not be able to wear it open, because my fabric has a strong diffenence in right and left side. If you make it from something that looks almst the same from the right and from the left side it should work.
