This project was inspired by ModCloth’s The Cat in the Hood (http://www.modcloth.com/store/ModCloth/Womens/Accessories/The+Cat+in+the+Hood). I love all the animal accessories that I’ve seen this winter, so I tried to make my own. For the pattern, I looked to ThreadBanger’s How-to Make Bunny Ears project (http://www.threadbanger.com/tb-projects/episode/THR_20090410/how-to-make-bunny-ears-threadbanger-projects).
The hood is made out of black/grey/white faux fur. I used a knit black and cream printed skirt for the lining. For closures, I sewed snaps at the neck, but this project could easily be turned into a hooded scarf. I haven’t decided who I’m giving this to. I might just have to keep it for myself!
