AMAZING work! Both are awesome but the skirt in particular drawing my attention! Are the buttons stitched to the outside, or are they functional in some way?

the buttons are purely decorative. I suppose if one wanted the buttons could be used to close the pocket, but I have a deep hatred for making buttonholes. Plus, on the pattern they are decorative. :-)

They are way cooler decorative rather than functional. Just shows how the application of buttons adds an extra punch to a cute garment!
