I made this project for a couture class. The dress was draped on the form. The skirt is on the bias and does not have side seams, instead the seams are frontal and in the back. The bra top has three layers plus two bra pads. My wife is modeling it on the pics for me.
satin, microfiber, wool, bra pads

It’s fabulous! You chose exactly the right material, so now it really ‘flows’, I wish that was hanging in my closet. But the top in particular is so beautifully executed, did you make the pattern yourself? It just fits so well, it’s really amazing!

Hi! First thank you for the nice words! I made the pattern for the top by draping on a dressform, and for the skirt I didn`t use/make a pattern, I freely draped 5 yards of material keeping the grain on the bias. It was fun making it. Thank you again!

this is amazing. the workmanship is superb. It doesn’t have that ‘homemade look’ that most sewers can’t seem to shake off.

This is so gorgeous! I love the draping with the print of the fabric.

I wish I was at the level where I could sew this… The colors are gorgeous and the fabric too! It looks sooo expensive (so would say Michael Koors). The shape is so flattering, and I also think it is comfy and could forgive a copious dinner,,,

What a beautiful dress! I just love the diagonal seams through the bust – it gives the bodice such an interesting shape. The lack of side seams is also really spectacular, especially with this print. Fabulous job, marloncosta!
