Ever since Daughter No2 saw these trousers in the June 2011 issue of BurdaStyle, they have been on the “make me please” list. This is their year! I altered the pattern in length, it is drafted for petite, and at 174cm, petite she is not! I added 1.5cm in the waist to hip depth, 2cm between hip & knee and another 1cm at the hem. It did the job! Fabric is black linen from my stash, as is the black grosgrain ribbon for the waistband detail, the two little buttons inside the waistband and the zip. I didn’t need to buy a thing for this project!
I love it! Daughter No2 needs to get used to the high waist, but they look fabulous on her, so more are in the pipeline.
