Looking for something interesting in my cockloft I found lovely flowery vintage curtain and decided to upcycle it, give a new life in my wardrobe:) So the firt idea was to make some A-line gathered skirt, kinda my “black skirt”: http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/the-most-desirable-black-skirt
But when I did it and tried on, I didn’t like it: the fabric was to stiff and it didn’t look nice to my body type figure. So i started to narrow it to kinda pencil skirt. And I ended up with gathered pencil skirt. While narrowing I had to remove a zipper and sew it again. I’m quite happy with the result;)
From the leftovers I’m making a handbag, so I’ll end up with a set of skirt and matching handbag:)
vintage old curtain, invisible zipper, lot of patience...:)

This is a very stunning ensamble. (Did I spell that right?) Beautiful. Did you make the top or is it RTW?

Thank you very much:) I guess all is right, but I don’t know what does it mean RTW? Round the world? The top is a kind of a jumper with loose neckline, and I bought it:)

I am sorry. RTW means ready to wear. store bought. Anyhows, I love the set.

I know what you mean, sorry I’m Polish and I know only french equivalent – prêt-à-porter – it’s more popular:) Thanks and greetings

I can’t imagine this as curtains, but it’s a gorgeous skirt.
