Description

Sophisticated without feeling stuffy, our Jackie O.-inspired look from BurdaStyle Sewing Vintage Modern is perfect for a special dinner date or holiday party. Our version is made in a French brocade, but you can make it in a lightweight wool, too. The funnel collar is complemented with a simple bow at the waist. This project is a variation of the Louisa Drop-Waist Dress pattern. Refer to your book or eBook for project instructions.

Material Notes

2 yards (1.8m) main fabric, 55" (139.5cm) wide

Lightweight fusible interfacing

24" (61cm) invisible zipper

2 hook-and-eye closures (we suggest a flat one for the waistband and a loop for the skirt closure)
