I have taken a pair of gently-used second hand shoes and transformed their look with fabric. This can be done with almost any pair of shoes or boots. Depending on the project, sewing may or may not be involved. I’ve learned to love E6000 adhesive.
To do it yourself, take a great pair of shoes and determine how you would like to enhance them. Sometimes, it’s as simple as applying a decorative ribbon. For other projects, you may need to sew a bit before you apply the fabric to the shoe.
For any project, begin by making a rough cut of the fabric approximately the size of the space you are applying it to. Carefully holding the fabric in place, make more detailed cuts against the shoe. When you are satisfied with the size and shape of the fabric, apply it to the shoe with E6000 adhesive.
