I was feeling adventurous even though I’d only made 2 dresses to date.
This was a skirt made from african wax print by a tailor in Nigeria and sent to me. It was a 6 piece skirt…pretty; but it didnt fit right & the top was horrendous. Decided to make into a strapless dress (sorry…I forgot to take pics w/out the sweater). Also forgot to take “before” pics of the skirt…I hope my drawing makes sense. LOL.
I tried to use everything that was already on the skirt the seams and zipper, etc to make it easier. So the waist band became the top of the dress, the hip part of the skir became the bodice…and so on and so on.
It didnt take too long to do and I really like it.
