I went through the major tutorial list on threadbanger and found this cute How-To by MaxCalifornia
That was the style I was looking for <3
I went to the dutch fabric market and bought 4 or 5 different fabrics only to make this dress, or alter the design to a high waisted skirts.
Finally I sat down last night and was finished at 3 am…
I’m actually thrilled, with how cute it looks -
the hem is a product from my new serger (I used pink, violet and red threads, I think it creates a nice effect)
the pleats were created through MyCalifornia’s “easy gathering” method ^^
I love how it turned out

Oooh I love this! It looks like quite a simple thing to make, I guess its just a skirt with straps! I may have to have a go. So many projects to finish!

Yeah I had a browse through the tutorial and it seems easy enough and with room for alternations. I’ve just been reunited with my sewing machine after two whole months apart so this is what I shall be working on!!
