My daughter was requesting this thing since 8th grade. Now she’s in high school and I finally got around to making it.
This top will be used as an under layer for her see through blouses she was not able to wear before.
I used a Sew U Home Stretch Project #6 Tiny Bubble by Wendy Mullin without the bubble as the base of this top. The instructions have you slash and spread but I didn’t.
I serged the swimwear elastic into the top, folded and zigzagged over it.
I cut size Medium at first, but the knit is super stretchy so had to serge off an inch on each side.
I zigzagged the bottom as well, and it turned out okay this time because it is tight around the body.
I added a little elastic down the middle to make it more heart shaped.
Daughter really liked it which does not happen very often, grabbed it and going to incorporate into her wardrobe.
