This fabric reminded me of something you might see at Anthropologie, and so I created this dress. Although I didn’t use any overall pattern, I pulled out an old Burda pattern (3446) for the bust shape. The pleats were made of a separate overlay panel, and I sewed an inner lining of pure linen. I finished the dress with a underskirt of linen and a empire-waisted sash to give it a bit more oomph and flow.
Fabric is Classic Conversationals – #1276-0142, designed by Judie Rothermel for Marcus Fabrics. 100& cotton.
