This is beautiful. I like the boxy (I would say boufant) shape. The skirt adds to the shape of the blouse. Lovely cotton and gorgeous color.

Love this shirt – do you think that it would work with a chiffon fabric? I was thinking it would be a little less boxy?

I think chiffon would be lovely, but in order to make the fit less boxy, I think you need to add darts, at least in the back. That’s what would work for me, but then again, everyone is built differently :)

It’s a gauzey cotton, it’s textured like linen. Sorry, I can’t be more precise but it had been in my stash for years. Anyway, it gives a nice body to the bow, so it doesn’t look floppy.

Believe me, it doesn’t. It’s very boxy and makes me look shapeless. It looks better tucked in, maybe you’d like it more with a less busy skirt.
