ANOTHER dress made from a duvet cover! this time I went the whole hog and even re-used the press stud closure!! WHOOP!! upcycling ftw!!
I can’t get any pics off my phone at the moment so maybe will upoad back shots later.
I used the Ute blouse pattern as a base and added the circle skirt just like in grosgrains brilliant tutorial
I actually cut the circle skirt a little too big so had to gather it, result? EXTRA AWESOME!! ;-)
a superman duvet cover! and a little bit of bias tape THAT'S IT!!! XD XD XD

I dunno why I haven’t looked through all your other projects before now (rather than just coveting your Space Raiders bag…) but this is just too awesome!
I have a retro Sonic duvet cover that I’ve been meaning to turn into a suit for ages (Sonic on the front of the pencil skirt and the rings background for a waistcoat or something) and it’s so nice to see similar things out there and looking so uttery fabulous! Yay!

haha, thanks, this is one of my favourite things in the world, unfortunately I made it 10 months ago and my sewing skills were not as good back then… if I could find the duvet cover again I’d make it again… but I’m always over critical of my own work… you always see mistakes no one else notices right?… anyhow… yes :-) duvet covers=EXCELLENT fabric for amazing projects
