I was trolling the internet last week and found an amazing vintage pattern for a side-buttoned bodice with scolloped edges. I love vintage and vintage inspired clothes, but not many of them accommodate breastfeeding, so I was excited to find this one. Unfortunately, the pattern was $58 and I didn’t think my husband would appreciate me telling him, “I was feeling a bit postnatal, so I bought a pattern to cheer myself up…” So I set myself a drafting challenge. I used sheets to make a mockup and began with a vintage pattern I already had. The fabric is covered with gorgeous old keys and blue with brown is one of my favourite colour combinations.
I’m extremely proud of how it turned out and received lovely compliments when I wore it out and about.

This turned out great! I love that you’re come up with something to suit your needs (breast feeding).

And proud you should be – this is gorgeous. Great work on the full skirt and I’ve always been fond of asymmetry – a gorgeous neckline!
