This is the first quilt I ever made but I finished it after the baby quilt.
It took me a year to get from planning stage/finding the block tutorial to finished quilt … get the fabric for the top … muster up the courage to cut it … sew the top … and then I took a long break and ended up sewing the pillows with the leftover fabric … get the backing fabric … obtain a walking foot and quilt (ooh, it’s a bit wonky at times..should’ve got some exercise first.. who cares, it’s a first) … attach the binding … then I took another long break making a whole other quilt and lots of Christmas presents … handstitch the binding …
I made some mistakes along the way, learned about math and quilting – but whatever its shortcomings, I love it. So much. :)
Quilt measures approx. 110cm x 150cm.
Pillow measure 40cm x 60cm.

This looks like a very complex block but I love the colors and the design very much! Excellent work!

Thank you!
It’s more complex than just squares, granted, but actually pretty simple – just rectangles and squares and very easy to sew up. I’m still dreading triangles at this point. I’m afraid of matching points… :)
