Description

Drafted from the Pattern Magic Book, no1. The fabric is a Liberty tana lawn, not from my overgrown pile.. I had to go looking for something suitable! the pattern is not hard to draft, sewing is a doddle. There is an invisible zip in the centre back and I French seamed the whole thing. I am pretty happy with this first project from my long drooled over Pattern Magic books, so I guess I had better choose another! :D

    Hey, I love this dress style and finally got round to making the pattern. I’ve put the dress together but I can’t figure out how to tie the bow properly! Please help!! I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong…

      I just tied it! Not sure there was anything special about it…. that dress is in the loft at the moment – wrong season. I think I didn’t tie a knot, just the bow… I’ll get back to you when I get the dress out again.

    Great dress! The pattern magic patterns are great, but not always easy to wear as I think, but you made the pattern really nice and wearable!

      Well, that’s what I thought when I went through it the first time, then I decided what could be practical… some of the stuff looks fab, but how on earth do you iron it after it’s washed???
