a Mother’s Day present for my mom. A sun and rain protector for all her adventures, which can fold up to be kept in a small bag in her purse and go anywhere! The pattern was easy to draft, and really fun to make! And best of all, the hat is machine washable!

How stinkin cute is this hat? LOVE IT! Just downloaded and hope to find time in the near future to make one for me and my daughter (matching of course – she’s 7 so I can barely get away with this) :) Thank you so much for taking the time to make and share this with us!

I love the pattern!!!! One question… I have a little bigger head than others… Could you please let me know how big the inside rim length is? In cm, would be most grateful!!!!

The pattern says that it fits a 22 inch head comfortably, which is roughly 56 cm. If you are only a little off (2-3cm) it will probably fit fine, but It should also be easy to adjust the pattern if needed, by sewing smaller seam allowances.

I love it! I am not a hat person (in fact, I have always hated hats), but this is exactly what I was looking for. I have roseacea, which really gets bad when I get out in the sun. I was thinking of ways to keep the sun off of my face, and I finally had to admit that a sun hat is going to have to be the preferred method, at least when I’m not on my scooter. I guess I’ll learn to like it. Thank you for putting up the perfect pattern for me right now.
