Summer Sewing Challenge: Chevron!

Added Aug 4, 2012

by Spinneret

Albuquerque, New...

This project is a not not so simple white blouse paired with plain corduroy shorts. I started with the Liz blouse, replaced the front facing with a placket, and added a seam allowance to the back. I slashed and spread the front and back to create chevron pleats. I’m proud of the fit.

Although it is quite a simple shirt those pleats must have been a hell of a challenge and I really do appreciate your hard work to make something unusually exciting from a plain pattern. Got to love it!

Really lovely work, Spinneret. I especially love the small turquoise embroidery at the neck and back neck. Really nice, small touch.
