Project D from stylish dress book one.
My very first attempt at sewing clothing from a pattern and in Japanese at that!
But I did it, it’s not remotely perfect, but it’s good enough to wear and the lessons I learned by actually getting stuck in and having a go are invaluable.
The bit I really really struggled with was the bias binding on the sleeves and neck. I actually made a bigger piece for the neck and handstitched the sleeves in the end!
an old flannel floral sheet, I had stashed away, perfect for practicing, yet pretty enough to actually wear too!
The buttons were some I had made which are available for sale in my etsy shop.
