I’ve been wanting a pair of high waisted shorts for a while now, but always holding back because I’m not quite sure how well they would suit me. Then after a trip to the fabric store I came home with this pinstripe fabric and decided it would make a great pair of shorts. I figured if the high waist didn’t suit me I could always untuck my top and cover the high waist. Anyway I adapted the Bella pattern, which was a fun pattern to sew, and ended up with these and i absolutely LOVE them. They are super comfy and just the right length that I prefer, shorts at the shops are always way to short for me or too long. Love them. I want to try make a pair of Bella pants with the left over material I have :)
polyester suiting of some sort

Super cute shorts. I love how you played with the stripes’ directions, your variation is very similar to the idea I have for another pair of Bella.

Would you consider doing a how-to explaining how you altered the pattern (especially the front part)? These are awesome, and i’ve wanted to make some like that for a while!

Super cute! I love the change you made on the front of them — it would also be great for a pair of sailor-style pants!

They look fantastic! And they do suit you really well. I have the same problem with store bought shorts, I may give these a go.
