Description

I got this dress at a thrift shop (the last photo is the original), loved the fabrics and the layers of the skirt, but it was just too long. So I took the flouncy bottom of the skirt (with the lining- three of those layers are just lace!) and put it up at the waistline, bypassing that long torso section. I had to cut down some of the width of the skirt going from hip to waist, but not too much. Belted since it’s a little wider in the waist than I, and voila! So simple.

(sorry about picture quality, the light was not so great in my apartment today)

great refashioned project ! I was hoping you had layers of the skirt you cut off that you’d want to get rid of, oh well! You did a wonderful job.
