I have always wanted to make li’l girl’s dress… but given that my kids are both boys there is really no valid reason for me to make this dream a reality…
Then my sister fell pregnant and she’s bearing my first (on my side of the family) niece… she’s not due until February but I already completed one dress for her.
This is not a newborn dress, though. The pattern that I cut is for 9 months. I’ve had this fabric for almost 2 years (bought it when the idea of making and selling girls dresses conceived on my mind… no spare time though so I never got around to doing it). It has a nice fairy and floral print on it. Embellished this simple dress with a pink trim at the hem, has 4 flower buttons at the back and I used a floral pink ribbon to cover the neck seam.
I hope she likes it…
