azalea-like
But not really the azalea.
I only used the upper part of the pattern as starting point.
I love it when it is a bit windy : )
Depending on what I combine it with I can wear it to almost any occasion.

I love this dress and want to make some for work but I’m a complete beginner and a little confused by the yoke. What size should it actually be? Eg how many inches across the bottom, how deep is the v ect?

Hello Your dress is really beatifull! Im a novice and this is my first project. But i really must sew this dress, because we have a galaevening on the classtrip next week and we must wear dresses and i havent got one. (hm sorry for my bad english, by the way, im from germany) Now i really go crazy, because nothing seems to function. - How can i sew/line the armholes? - How should i sew, that i can go into the dress? I have a not stretching fabric. Is it possible without a zip? Because my mum said i should bay it ( try to sew light to see if its possible to sew – oh dont know how in english .). I put on the top / yoke but the side parts under the armholes are to large. But if i sew them smaller they would tear. What should i do? Can i sew this dress? Need help! Greetings

Hi,
if you want the side to be more tight it probably won’t work without a zipper. You could just take it in a bit (both sides to keep it symmetrical) and add a zipper starting at the armhole.
If you don’t want to use one (which is a bit easier/ less work), you need the extra space under the arms to get in. But just try it on, maybe you’re lucky and you can take it in a bit and get in without a zip.
You can either sew losely or pin it to try things if you’re not sure it’ll work.
i hope this helps at least a bit and the answer didn’t come too late.

Thank you. I just got some fabric and one of them is screaming for me to make this with it. I can’t wait to get started.

I didn’t consider even looking at the dress from the drawing. I looked to me like a night PJ dress. Boy was I wrong! It’s such a cute dress, and I also love the color. That’ll teach me to look at all patterns regardless of the drawings. I so plan on making this dress.

Well, shoot! I was certain I posted a thank you for sharing the pattern. It isn’t here, so even though this is late, " ZickZack, Thank you for sharing your work. Making the yoke parts only and placing instructions for cutting the skirt and assembly on the pattern will save both time and paper. Even though it is adjustable for sizes, I have a sneaky suspicion that going from 36 to 50-52 may not only push the envelope, it will tear it asunder." ;) Cordially, Nehmah
