Description

I picked up a vintage Vogue dress pattern #1307 and thought I’d give it a try. It’s quite a simple construction with very few darts but an amazing fit on my curves… I also love that the ribbon can be interchanged with anything, I’ve used striped grosgrain ribbon, plain black, pink red. This ribbon is a mustard yellow velvet ribbon which really plays off the mud colour!

Material Notes

Cotton poly suiting with a little mechanical stretch. No openings/fastenings!
Velvet ribbon.

No zipper? Amazing. You look beautiful in that dress, I want it.. I’m no good with patterns but if I can track this one down, I might try.

Great dress, I love the neckline with the ribbon. And I love your hair :). Amazing that there is no zipper and still it´s so fitted… I don´t like when many patterns require zippers, I hate them and usually try to omit them.

Simple yet elegant – but I guess you can’t expect anything else from Vogue! You’ve done a brilliant job on the styling of this dress as well. This is great.
