Description

I used a Cynthia Rowley pattern (Simplicity 2443) to make this dress. Would you believe I don’t own any neutral colored dresses? I love color, but sometimes I want to wear a bright sweater or something, and I have nothing to go with them. The pattern was great, and the dress is so comfy – like wearing a t-shirt around! My blog entry for this dress is here

Material Notes

rayon/poly/lycra blend ponte knit. Great stuff – so easy to sew, and doesn’t wrinkle no matter what!

They were really hard to attach! I ended up turning the dress inside out, so that the straps were down inside it while attaching. That gave me a better angle. Then clip all the way to the stay stitching on the straps, especially around the corners. Pin and sew slowly, smoothing out any bumps as they appear. I also used my walking foot. Hope that helps – it took me several tries!

Thanks for the advice. Ive already tried attaching them a few times. I hope this time is the last.
