I have made wedding dresses before, and I had the skills and enough cash for the fabric. So when my own wedding rolled around in 2008, I decided to create my own 50’s inspired gown.
This dress was one part of our DIY wedding, which included me making the bridesmaid’s dresses, bridal gown, flower girl dress, boutonnieres, bouquets, centerpieces, and even the cake. Boy was I ready for a Disney honeymoon after all of that!
Satin and organza were used, as well as soft boning material. The buttons on the shoes were covered with the same satin used on the dress.
