I can’t believe it’s been one year since I’ve joined BurdaStyle, and have graduated from sewing simple pillowcases to jackets and ruffle dresses. And it’s BurdaStyle day too, so I am celebrating by sharing my latest shirtdress with you.
The pattern is still Simplicity 2365, which is also what I used for this shirtdress. I made several modifications, including the sleeves, which I replaced with a small cuff and pleats rather than the rolled up sleeves, and the back, which I cut as a one-piece on the fold rather than as a two-piece.
The fabric is a cotton/silk blend, super comfy and breathable. I paired the dress with mother of pearl buttons down the front.
More details on my blog.
