The skirt is made of a shimmery plaid poplin with a magenta acetate lining. The lining actually matches the magenta in the skirt (as you can see in the skirt on the hanger picture), but photos were coming
out a little purple this morning.
I didn’t want to change the pattern too much since it is such a classic shape and I picked a pretty bold fabric, but I made a few minor adjustments: added a back pleat, shortened it, planned the pleats based on the plaid, and cut the yoke on the bias so that the plaid appears diagonally.

This is such a lovely skirt, the choice of fabric is wonderful and I love the cute red lining. It makes want to have a go at this pattern.

I am really loving your design choices, shorter with bold plaid looks great. And the back pleat gives shape to the poplin.
