Description

Three tiered skirt, black linen overlay cut in a scallop along design, left unfinished. My husband’s gray dress shirt for the middle layer—I measured every 5 inches length-wise and 3 inches up on every mark and gathered it with gray thread. The bottom layer is a machine embroidered ruffly cotton material. It’s a pretty heavy skirt, so I sewed a length of spandex-like material as the waistband. Then, I can wear it as short or long as I want, by doubling it up or leaving it flat. I wish it was a little more form fitting up top…but, I like it anyway.

Material Notes

White-embroidered cotton
Gray-polyester blend
Black-Linen blend with decoration
Waistband-black spandex/lycra/unknown stretch

Difficulty

Intermediate

Thank you everyone. Tiramisusan, I hope you do, I’m debating making another one in blues or white, pink, and red.
