Description

This zebra/vertigo print is among my favorites. It’s so wild!

Material Notes

100% cotton. It is very important to wash, dry and iron the fabric for these diaper covers before you sew it. Otherwise your ruffles may shrink so much after the initial wash you won’t want to put it on baby anymore

No pattern but it’s not very difficult.

I actually have trouble using patterns. Isn’t that crazy. They’re supposed to make things easier aren’t they? I’m not disciplined enough to follow instructions. :-)

But what you can do is just get a regular pattern for knickers./panties and just add the ruffles. Modify the cut of the legs because I’ve seen some that look more like pants. Make it to look more like a panty.

The ruffles are the easiest. Depending on how full you want your ruffles cut strips. Say 3 strips, about 2x the width of the diaper cover, maybe even a little more. Use the serger for the rolled hems both sides, gather them to the same width and stitch it to the seat of the diaper cover. Not at the top top of the ruffle but about 1/2" from the top.

Attach the 2nd and 3rd row of ruffles so that the last one covers the top of the new one. After that you can attach the front to back and do the legs.

I actually think this would make a good project for a tutorial. Maybe I will have to make time and do one on my blog. I just love the ruffles :-)

Nothing cuter than a polstered baby, except a polstered baby with ruffled diaper covers!
