I found this fantastic robot satin on clearance about a year ago, and had to have it for some pyjamas. And what else but bright red lace to go on it?
The pattern is pretty much improvised from a Peter Alexander silk nightie I already owned. The skirt is just a rectangle gathered onto elastic, with another smaller rectangle attached to look like a wrap skirt. The bodice is two overlapping triangles, with elastic down the inner edges as the fit was a bit weird without it, and a narrow rectangle for the bodice back. I just bought a pair of white bra straps and attached those rather than make satin straps, which wouldn’t have stayed up on my shoulders anyway.
