Lengthened one of the straps to be wrapped from the inside and to make a more even bow; lengthened the sleeves; did a hand-stitched binding on all edges for a cleaner finish with no top-stitching.
red cotton jersey and spandex blend

Fantastic job! What a great use of the binding. You have inspired me to actually finish the trim on my version.

Thanks! This is a sign I need to start watching this show – all week Gilmore Girls has been popping up everywhere. Spring break = trip to library.

I’ve been eyeing Erdronen’s awesome pattern for a while now.. your dress looks fantastic! The finishing is so nice! How much fabric did you end up needing, with your modifications?

I bought two and a half yards, which I didn’t think would be enough … but with careful placement of all the pieces it ended up being perfect! This was enough fabric for the addition of long sleeves and the extension of the one strap, too.

very pretty on you! I also prefer an invisible stitch rather than a topstitch on jersey. Though I bet I will get tired of hand stitching one of these times :)
