When I saw the “1940’s Swing Coat” by Clothesmaker, I fell in love with it. Now I sewed one for myself. Yellow is not my color, so I took red boiled wool. The collar and the facings are made from fine black corduroy. I used an old burda-pattern and added the button facing at the neck.

Thank you very much! The button-facing is real in the back, I only had problems with the button holes, so I sewed the buttons through the button facing.

I was sooo curious for your coat: WOW it couldn’t have been better. :-) The red colour, the woolen fabric ( asI am a huge fan of woolen fabric) and the way how you realized your design idea… it is a complete succes. I guess you will wear your coat again and again.
