Made using Vogue 7949; these are a wearable muslin. I want to make some gloves out of an old lilac suede skirt found in an op shop, and wanted to try out the pattern first. But I’m super happy with how this trial pair turned out and plan to wear these out and about, too!
A review of this pattern is on my blog: http://handmadebycarolyn.blogspot.com/2011/02/gloves-finishing-off-and-pattern-review.html
Also there is a step by step account of this (my first) glove-making adventure.

Oooh! I’ve been looking for a pattern to make gloves. Thanks for posting! Was the Vogue pattern very hard to use? Yours came out beautiful!

Thank you so much! The Vogue 7949 pattern for gloves is really well drafted, I have a review on my blog if you’re interested in seeing more. I found making gloves to be quite fiddly, but not as hard as I thought it was going to be!

very adorable gloves!!!! (I have tried to sew gloves (from a pattern from Butterick) but I failed miserably! I find it terribly difficult…did you sew the seams between the fingers with a zigzag, how did you finished the fabric between the fingers?

Thank you! There are gussets between each finger, and they were a bit fiddly to sew in. But all the pieces to the pattern fitted together really well. The pattern had a 3mm seam allowance sewed with a straight stitch, which is tiny, but OK once you get the hang of it.
I also did a step-by-step lowdown on the whole process of making these gloves on my blog, if you are interested.

These are unbelievably gorgeous! The colour is great and the detailing on the back of the hand (pintucking?) is a lovely finish. I’ve been looking for a pair of long gloves. Didn’t occur to me to make them! Thank you for the inspiration.

Thank you! The detailing on the back of the hand is just narrow top-stitched pintucking.
