As soon as I saw this pattern I decided to make, especially since it was available in size 34 and I didn’t have to grade it down. It’s easy to make, super comfortable to wear (thanks to the panel on the bias) and was definitely a show stopper at the office !
More details and my alterations on my blog !
Wool blend remnants from Paron NYC (I think). I actually had 1 1/2 yards left from a pair of pants I made last year and did not even remember.
Invisible zipper and poly seam binding.

Absolutely gorgeous! You have inspired me to make this one. I thought it looked like something I would like from the picture in the magazine – but your picture affirms this! Beautiful work!

Great job! Do you think if you made it in a stretchy fabric you could avoid putting the zipper in? I"m all for lazy alternatives! Your fabric doesnt look like it has much stretch?

The neckline is pretty wide to I guess you could avoid the zipper with a knit. I actually believe that somebody else on Burdastyle did that for this pattern…

I love the fabric and the dress looks wonderfu on you! I’ve got this ready to go, as soon as i get a few more necessary notions. I’m using a dark grey/black lightweight wool tweed (I wanted it in a lighter color but wasn’t able to find a fabric I liked with the necessary body etc,). I hope mine turns out nearly as well as yours! Any tips or suggestions I should know before delving in? Congratulations on a stunner!!
